As a community-based registered charitable organization, the Kelowna & District Safety Council Society relies on contributions from individuals, businesses, service clubs, and foundations to deliver a wide variety of high quality safety programs for children, teens, adults, and seniors. Charitable tax receipts are available for donations $10.00 and over. cityofkelownaIn addition to an annual utilities grant of $4,500.00, the City of Kelowna has been a long-time supporter of KDSC’s by providing the land for our Little Travellers’ Safety Village and office and storage spaces. In 2016, they provided us with all new traffic signs, repainted the lane lines, completed tree and root removal and opened up the space with some major pruning, as well as repaving and repairing several road hazards in the the Safety Village.  The support of the City of Kelowna has been invaluable with extensive upgrading we have been able to complete this year!

british-columbiaThe province of BC has awarded an annual grant of $20,000.00 to KDSC in support of our children’s safety programs since 1981…..that’s $700,000.00 in support since we opened!

City of West Kelowna

A huge thank you to the City of West Kelowna for their donation of $1,500.00 towards our children’s safety courses being provided in the City of West Kelowna to the local children.




The Army and Navy Veterans Unit 376 again gave us a very generous donation of $1,000.00 in 2017 to KDSC for our children’s safety programs.



ACT/UCT Kelowna West Council #1003 have provided $1,000. to the Little Traveller’s Safety Village in 2017 to be used for children’s safety training.  We thank them for their generous ongoing support!

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 189 donated $500.00 this year towards all children’s programs at the Little Travellers’ Safety Village.


Kinsmen Club of Kelowna kindly donated $500.00 towards the Little Travellers’ Safety Village programs in 2016.

Thanks to Domino’s Pizza for their donation of the delicious pizzas we had on hand at our annual Halloween Haunt fundraiser this year!  As well as Starbucks for the great coffee and David’s Tea for the two wonderful varieties of tea we were able to offer parents this year and to SunRype for their fruit snacks to hand out to the kids.   Thanks for making our fundraiser a success!

Little Travellers Safety Village RCMP building

The Kelowna Rutland Lions Club built and donated a new RCMP building

to the Little Travellers’ Safety Village.



Okanagan College Collision Repair Department and their instructor John Euloth repaired and repainted at cost over a dozen of our pedal cars this year. Thanks for making the pedal cars shine once again!
