Enhanced Safety Course for Experienced Riders

This 1-day hands-on workshop provides experienced riders fresh perspectives and critical new safety skills, based on current motorcycle safety research. Advances in contemporary, proven safety equipment are presented. Enhanced riding safety skills are discussed, demonstrated, and then practiced during closed-course and on-street coached sessions.

Enhanced Skills Course for Experienced Riders

(previously Advanced Riding Techniques)

This 2-day hands-on workshop focuses on increasing motorcycle handling skills, including: advanced clutch control, shifting, counterbalancing, higher speed braking, critical curve management strategies, steep hill control, safe and effective passing standards, and efficient highway riding. This is a package designed to advance riders’ knowledge, skill, and confidence to ride the very challenging terrain and conditions of Western Canada, a technical rider’s paradise.

Includes one day of parking lot and one day of in-traffic training. Classes run from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily, with an hour lunch break the first day and a half hour lunch break the second day, making the course a fully packed 14.5 hours.

Tuition: $400 ($350 for recent KDSC Learn to Ride graduates)

NOTE: For both of the courses above, students must have a full Class 6 motorcycle license, their own motorcycle, and appropriate safety gear. It is recommended that they feel comfortable riding on highways and in urban traffic environments before participating in this course.
