Campaign for Children’s Safety

Since 1980, KDSC – the Kelowna & District Safety Council, a non-profit charity – has been helping to create a safer community for the people of Kelowna and the Central Okanagan.

From children’s programs for pedestrian and cycling safety, babysitting, children’s first aid, and home alone skills to driving and motorcycle safety programs for young people and adults, KDSC has helped many thousands of people, and their families, lead better, safer, more enjoyable lives.

Directly or indirectly, virtually everyone in the Okanagan has been touched by KDSC’s vision of safety for everyone who lives here.

Today, safety is more important than ever.

Over the years, KDSC has evolved to serve the changing needs of our changing society. Because we are mission-driven, we constantly work to ensure that our programs are accessible and relevant.

We offer grant-funded scholarships to individuals, children and families of reduced means. We help new immigrants become accustomed to a new community and new customs.

We need your help.

The Campaign for Children’s Safety is designed to address critically needed facility improvements and provide essential programmatic support.
